Hor Fun Premium is another one of the more popular stalls along the same row as Depot Road Zhen Shan Mei Claypot Laksa at Alexandra Village Food Centre. I was there on a Sunday morning and had their beef hor fun for breakfast.
Hor fun sounds a tad too heavy to have at 10-ish in the morning if you ask me but the charred kway teow (flat rice noodle) drenched in the alluring eggy gravy is tough to say no to.
Apart from beef, you also have the option of sliced fish or seafood. Or, if you prefer, you can have those options with mui fan too if it rocks your boat. They serve pork ribs rice, ginger & spring onion sliced fish rice and ginger & spring onion beef rice as well.

The three components of this plate of beef hor fun - the kway teow, beef and gravy are separately cooked and assembled upon order.
While mixing the springy kway teow with the gravy, I realized that the layers does not clump together which is a good sign. I took a bite and was pleasantly surprised by the aroma of the wok hei. It is not easy to find a hor fun with wok hei nowadays and this is one fine example.
They are rather generous with the portion of beef that come in big slices. The beef were fresh and tender without that artificial tenderized texture. Deserving of a mention here is that glorious egg gravy which is not overly starchy and did not turn watery at the end of my meal.
What's amazing is that this plate of beef hor fun costs only $4! For the quality and quantity, I have no complaints whatsoever.
I would say that this is definitely worth a try.

While having my hor fun, I observed that the queue is never-ending but it gets cleared very fast.
Alexandra Village Food Centre is located in the vicinity of Queensway Shopping
Centre, IKEA Alexandra and Park Hotel Alexandra so it is not difficult
to find. I got here by taking bus service 120 from the bus stop (bus
stop code 10201) opposite Redhill MRT Station and alighted at the bus
stop (bus stop code 11519) opposite Queensway Shopping Centre.
