I just laid my hands on the LG Optimus 4X HD aka LG P880, which is the latest phone from LG.
I am not a very technical person so I will not be touching on the technical aspects.
All I know is that this model is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor with 1GB of
RAM and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
It possessed 12GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a external microSD card.
As this is my very first LG phone and also my first Android phone, what I shared here are based on my own personal experience especially with the camera aspect of this phone.
I am currently using a Samsung Omnia Windows 7 phone with a 5mp camera. When I read that this phone came with a 8mp camera, I was instantly sold.
I got it for SGD338 with a two years contract.
Here, I will share some photos taken by both my new LG Optimus 4X HD and current Samsung Omnia 7 placed side by side for comparison.

With a 1280 X 720 resolution, images looks gorgeous on the 4.7 inch
IPS-LCD HD display but when the photos are transferred to the computer,
it's another story.
The photos appeared quite blurry and not very focused.
Now, what is a blogger to do if he cannot take decent food photos?
Which one looks more tantalising? Left or right?

Based on the comparisons above, what do you think of the LG Optimus 4X HD camera?

Despite that, one thing I like about the camera was it's ability to take still photos while recording video at the same time.
That is something I cannot do with my current phone. It is either photos or video; never both.
While exploring this function, I discovered that the photos taken via video mode actually turns out better.

The photo on the left was taken via camera while the one on the right was taken in video mode.
Other than that, the LG Optimus 4X HD also enables you to take photos in Normal, HDR, Panorama and Continuous Shot.

Despite it being a 8mp camera, I do feel rather letdown by the LG Optimus 4X HD considering what my 5mp phone camera can do in terms of picture quality.
By the way, the phone's battery drains really fast. The last I checked, the fully charged phone was depleted of 5% within 30 minutes while on standby mode.
No apps were running in the background while the bluetooth and wifi were off.
For the short two days while I had it, I had already recharged it four times.
In a nutshell, the LG Optimus 4X HD is a sleek and functional phone but the downside is the less than favorable photo qualities and the poor battery life.
