After having the wah kueh from Lee Mama Yam Cake at 273 Bukit Batok East Ave 4, I realize there is still some space left to fill in my stomach.
Venturing inside the coffee shop, I found this Liang Hao Yong Tau Foo stall next to the infamous Ruyi Yuan Vegetarian stall.
I like yong tau foo but there is none near me so whenever I see one, I will order a bowl to satiate my crave.
When it comes to this dish, I will always opt for the yellow noodle with soup but this time round, I decided to try out the dry version with a mix of rice vermicelli and yellow noodle.

My choice of five ingredients with noodle sets me back by a mere $4.80. The same combo I had at Yew Tee Kopitiam costs me $7!
Since I ordered the dry version, I was given a small bowl of soup served on the side.
My ingredients and noodle were served dry in a separate bowl. I helped myself to the condiments on the counter. I added two scoops of sweet sauce and two scoops of chili paste.

I gave everything in my bowl a quick toss and felt that it is a tad dry. I added two spoons of soup to give it some moisture.
The extra liquid did help to loosen things up a little but taste wise, I find just sweet sauce with chili paste a little too flat for my liking.
Of course, this is just a personal preference. With regards to yong tau foo, I still favor the soup version.
Apart from the affordable price point, what amazes me was the generous portion of noodle.
This is truly value for money!

This is one of the more affordable yong tau foo stalls I have ever come across.
Granted, I have not been to many but surely, four pieces of ingredients with your choice of noodle for $4 is unheard of?
Most places would require at least a minimum of five ingredients, but you can start with four here.
