THE GUARDIANS - protector of the children of the world - were made up of a couple of old familiar mythological figures: Santa, Toothfairy, Easter Bunny and Sandman.
The story began 300 years earlier when Jack Frost has just been created out of a frozen lake with no inkling to his past. He soon discovers his ability to freeze anything with a touch but when he ventures out to town, he realises that he can't be seen, heard or even be touched by others.
Fast forward 300 years later, the evil Bogeyman threatens to enshroud the world in darkness. He poisoned the happy dreams of children, causing them to have nightmares and waking up in fear.
Santa summoned the Guardians to converge at his workshop where the "Man In The Moon" wants a newly elected Guardian to lead them in the fight against the Bogeyman.
The candidate in question is none other than Jack Frost, the rebellious protagonist of this story.
Unlike the other Guardians who were loved and cherished by children everywhere, Jack Frost remains invisible as nobody believe in him.
For the last 300 years, he has been searching for his identity: who was he and what is the purpose of his existence? This has caused him to lead a frustrated and solitary life where he gets into all sorts of mischief using his powers.
When the Toothfairy provided a link which might just shed some light on who he was before he became who he is, Jack Frost agreed to join their ranks to become a Guardian of the children.
In fact, Jack Frost has so much in common with the Bogeyman that the latter persuaded him to switch sides instead so they could together usher in a new Dark Age.
