McDonald's New Breakfast Offerings

McDonald's at Ang Mo Kio Park

Just slightly more than a week ago, McDonald's gave away over 100,000 free Egg McMuffins islandwide in a bid to encourage Singaporeans to wake up for the most important meal of the day - breakfast.

The event was a resounding success with the muffins snapped up in no time.

At the same time, McDonald's introduced new breakfast items like the Hotcakes with Strawberry/Hot Fudge, Chicken Muffin and a premium roast coffee that is richer and bolder than before.

I, along with a few other bloggers were invited to a food-tasting session at their Ang Mo Kio Park outlet to check out their new offerings. While at the event, I had the privilege to make the acquaintance of Princess Dana who shared my love for hashbrowns and chocolate!

A surprise awaits on every table

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Said,"not scrambled eggs for breakfast AGAIN?"

LOL!
Bad joke, I know.

Sorry I could not make the sauce flow down the sides they way they did in the adverts

After a short opening address, all of us were served with McDonald's latest item on the menu - Hotcakes.

Well, Hotcake is not new but instead of the usual butter and hotcake syrup which we are so familiar with, we now have an alternative choice of having either strawberry (with real strawberries chunks!) or hot fudge as toppings.

Ohhh, I love the hot fudge! It's pure indulgence!

The strawberry or hot fudge hotcakes breakfast meal (served with hashbrown and premium roast coffee) is available for $5.50 (price listed is not applicable at iFly and via McDelivery).

The new Chicken Muffin

Up next, is the Chicken Muffin.

It comes with a breaded fried chicken patty slathered with mayo and cheese sandwiched between two soft toasted muffin. The patty tastes and looks like a McNugget in patty form so, if you like McNuggets, you should like this too.

The Chicken Muffin Breakfast Meal (served with hashbrown and premium roast coffee) is available for $4 (price listed is not applicable at iFly and via McDelivery).

You know, I really like the surroundings of the Ang Mo Kio Park outlet. It is such a bliss to have breakfast amidst the lush greenery (refer to first photo).

At the event, we were attended to by two very entertaining ladies from McDonald's who shared with us the importance of breakfast and McDonald's initiative regarding the National Breakfast Day.

It is heartening to know that the giveaway has benefited so many people and also given rise to one particular story which has since gone viral on Facebook.

Do get up and go for your breakfast! Better yet, fuel your mornings at McDonald's!

Thank you McDonald's for the sumptuous breakfast and also to OMY for the invitation!
